Here is Mass for the 29th Sunday of Ordinary Time from Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Bilton, Rugby.

Entrance Antiphon: To you I call; for you will surely heed me, O God; turn your  ear to me; hear my words. Guard me as the apple of your eye; in the shadow  of your wings protect me.  

First Reading: A reading from the prophet Isaiah. If he offers his life in atonement, he shall see his heirs, he shall have a long life 

Response: Psalm 32 May your love be upon us O Lord, as we place all our hope in you.  

Second Reading: A reading from the letter to the Hebrews. Let us be confident in approaching the throne of grace  

Gospel Acclamation: Alleluia, alleluia! I am the Way, the Truth and the Life,  says the Lord; no one can come to the Father except through me. 

Gospel: A reading from the holy Gospel according to Mark. The Son of Man came to give his life as a ransom for many  

Communion Antiphon: Behold the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear  him, who hope in his merciful love, to rescue their souls from death, to keep  them alive in famine

THE SYNOD 2023 For a Synodal Church; Communion, Participation and Mission. Our diocesan process will be launched by Archbishop Bernard at a  special Mass this Sunday at St Chad’s Cathedral. He has issue a Pastoral Letter  and invites us all to participate at parish level. More details soon.  

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION 2022– We are planning our classes for 2022 now so  if you wish your child to take part please email sacredheart.bilton@rcaob.org.uk with details as soon as possible.  

MISSIO APF/RED BOX COLLECTION AT SACRED HEART. Please bring any Red Boxes to  Church so they can be counted and cash sent to support the Missions. Please have all  boxes/money in at the latest by Sunday 17th October 2021 which is World Mission Sunday.  

Rugby Foodbank – Contributions always welcome here at Church or through  your local store.  

Hope 4 Clothing Project to support asylum seekers temporarily housed in  Rugby. We need for males: jeans – 30,32,34; jumpers M & L; trainers 9,10,11  and new boxer shorts. For women we need Coats S,M,L (suitable for autumn  and winter use) and underwear (new only). For further information the team can be reached at donations@hope4.org.uk Clothes can be dropped off at Dixon Hall, Vicarage Road, Rugby CV22 7AJ on Wednesday 2-4pm and  Saturday 10am-12noon. Please DO NOT take donations to Hope 4. Thanks. 

COP 26 Prayer Event at St Andrew’s Church The Rugby Green Christian Group is organising a drop in  prayer event between 10am and 12noon on Saturday 30th October. This is an opportunity to pray  just as COP 26, the United Nations Climate Change Meeting, is about to begin. There will be some  prayer resources available to guide independent prayer, and there will be 5 minutes of led prayers at  half hourly intervals (10, 10.30, 11, 11.30 and just before the end at noon). Please do pop in for a  few minutes, or stay for as long as you would like. All are welcome, and the coffee shop in the  church will be open too ��
