THE DIOCESAN VISION: Unfolding God’s Plan

Our vision is to be a Catholic diocese which is faithful to the mission entrusted to us by Jesus Christ, full of missionary disciples who work together co-responsibly in vibrant communities of faith, joyful in their service of God and neighbour. Let us pray for the Church that she may receive from the Holy Spirit the grace and strength to renew herself in the light of the Gospel. Amen.

For a Synodal Church; Communion, Participation and Mission. Pope Francis will launch the Synodal Process at a Mass in Rome this Sunday. Our diocesan process will be launched by Archbishop Bernard at a special Mass next Sunday at St Chads Cathedral. He will be issuing a Pastoral Letter about it and inviting our participation at parish level. We will be hearing much about this as the year goes on.
