Climate Action Meeting: 16th September 7-9pm (online)

Join us in combatting climate change. We have great strength and passion in our network, and we want to ask you to help us find ways to address the climate emergency together and to respond to Pope Francis’ call for an ecological conversion. The Archdiocese is increasing its conversion to green energy, and has committed to ethical investment. Parishes and schools have taken part in CAFOD Live Simply Awards. We are proud of this work, but we want to do more and to reach more people.

You are invited to join our initial open meeting, via Zoom, in which we will talk about the work we have done and what we wish to do, and where we will invite you to feedback, share your stories or simply add your support.

CREATION SUNDAY / CLIMATE SUNDAY We are planning to celebrate this at Masses on the weekend 3/4th October. We hope to have some music and singing at these Masses.

An Environmentally Sustainable Lifestyle. We pray that we all will make courageous choices for a simple and environmentally sustainable life style, rejoicing in our young people who are resolutely committed to this.

THE DIOCESAN VISION; Unfolding God’s Plan

Our vision is to be a Catholic diocese which is faithful to the mission entrusted to us by Jesus

Christ, full of missionary disciples who work together co-responsibly in vibrant communities

of faith, joyful in their service of God and neighbour.

Let us pray for the Church that she may receive from the Holy Spirit the grace and strength to reform herself in the light of the Gospel.  Amen.
